OUTREACH & ENGAGEMENT
Outreach & Engagement
The Chair works with institutions, professional communities, and organisations that engage with the ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence in their daily practice. This page describes how the Chair contributes to that work and where its impact lands.

ACTIVATING PRACTICE
Three modes of collaboration
The Chair supports institutions, universities, and organisations that engage with the ethical dimensions of AI in their daily practice, through three complementary modes of collaboration. Each mode responds to a different temporal horizon: the urgent, the sustained, and the long-term.
01 · MODE OF COLLABORATION
Immediate commitment
Rapid consultations, position papers, and expert contributions on urgent ethical questions raised by emerging AI systems and regulatory developments. When timely input matters, the Chair intervenes with the depth of philosophical reflection and the pace of public debate.
02 · MODE OF COLLABORATION
Ongoing accompaniment
Long-term partnerships with institutions, universities, and organisations that need sustained ethical guidance as they design, deploy, and govern AI systems within their sectors. This mode is designed for structural change, not episodic advice.
03 · MODE OF COLLABORATION
Post-workshop actions
Follow-through beyond training and events: implementation support, monitoring, and iterative refinement of ethical practices within participating organisations. Because ethical formation matters only if it takes root in daily work.
04 · IMPACT
What changes
The Chair’s work translates into three interrelated dimensions of impact: academic, institutional, and public. Each dimension corresponds to a distinct audience and a distinct form of change.
01 · ACADEMIC
Scholarly conversation
Contributing to the international scholarly conversation on AI ethics through peer-reviewed research, edited volumes, and collaborations with leading universities across Europe, the United States, and beyond.
02 · INSTITUTIONAL
Policy and governance
Informing policy debates and standardisation processes at national and European level, and supporting institutions in developing ethical frameworks for the responsible deployment of AI in the public and private sectors.
03 · PUBLIC
Public conversation
Bringing philosophical reflection into public conversation on artificial intelligence through publications addressed to a broader audience, media engagement, and outreach initiatives that reach professionals and citizens beyond academia.
PARTNERSHIP
Start a conversation with the Chair
Public institutions, professional associations, research networks, and organisations working with AI in their daily practice are welcome to explore collaboration with the Chair. Every partnership begins with a conversation about what you are trying to do and where philosophical input can help.
